We're proudly centrally located in Newcastle West - just 5 minutes from the CBD, and near Newcastle Interchange - with parking, and early drop-off & late pick-ups available. We have a grooming salon on site. We also we stock your favourite dog goodies, including ethically-sourced treats and premium raw food.

If you're in a rush, can't find a park or it's raining heavily - give us a call when you're nearby. No need to get out of the car to drop off or pick up your doggo. Simply drive up next to the front door, and we will come out as soon as we can.
INDOOR & OUTDOOR SPACES

We're a cage-free facility providing both indoor and outdoor spaces for your dog to spend all day chasing balls, running and wrestling with friends.
Our purpose-fit premises is climate controlled to keep your doggo comfortable - and clean - throughout the day (after all, not all doggo's enjoy playing in the rain!). We have rotating play areas, play equipment, DogTV, dedicated nap time and an outdoor area for sun basking.
We use pet-friendly, vet-grade cleaning products to ensure absolute cleanliness; and state-of-the-art air purification systems which assist in neutralising airborne bacteria and illnesses. We also have shock-resistant epoxy flooring in our play areas, which not only reduces the risk of injury, but also provides a more comfortable, hygenic environment for our doggy guests.

We only take a limited number of doggo's each day for both daycare and grooming, which ensures our staff get to know your dog and provide them with plenty of individual attention, personalised care and a whole lotta' love. Our handlers understand the individual quirks and specific needs of each dog. Every dog receives the same high level of stimulation, respect and attention that we would want for our own doggo's. Our pack is spoilt, entertained, socalised, cuddled, play with, bathed, clipped and smooched every day! We keep our playgroups small, which fosters harmony, synergy and friendships. Dogs like familiar faces - canine and human. As most of our canine guests come on a weekly basis - which we recommend - the dogs know each other so it's familiar and stress-free for them.

We're proudly a locally owned and women-founded business. We have a growing team of experienced, mature carers, ensuring quality care and attention for your dog. We share the same passion for dogs (and animals) and a desire to make a difference. Our attentive, dedicated carers have completed various training courses, including pet first aid. We're skilled observers and experts at reading dog body language and behaviour, ensuring everyone is safe and happy.
Staff play, interact and bond with our canine guests, and help them acclimatise in a group environment so they become confident and curious doggo's. Whether your best friend is a little shy or a high energetic pup, rest assured we will have the patience and experience to accommodate them.
SAFE SOCIALISATION

We provide a safe, supervised environment for your dog to be active and social with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Playtime and interaction with other canines is good for a dog's mental health. It allows them to communicate with their own kind, develop sociability, let loose, learn to share and release pent-up energy. It allows them to behave like, well, dogs!
We group our dogs based on their temperament and play style, not always on size - so your doggo will enjoy monitored play time with dogs of similar energy levels (be it high energy play, wrestling or low energy play). We foster nice play and encourage dogs to communicate with each other and express themselves. Your doggo is guaranteed to make friends!
SAFETY FIRST
No ba-ba-bad bones here.
We only accept well socialised dogs. For the safety, wellbeing and happiness of our canine guests we have a strict requirement that every dog is temperament tested on a few trial days before joining our daycare.
EXERCISE & ENRICHMENT
Zoomies anyone?
A daycare day includes a balance of play time, activities and down time. Your dog will enjoy exercise, enrichment, affection, stimulation, socialisation and fun. They will be able to play and wrestle to their heart's content. Dogs arrive happy and always go home happily content and tired! Thank dog for that!
OUR APPROACH
Harmony + happiness
At Urban Doggo we run on the harmony of the pack. Unlike other daycares, we're all about low arousal. Our environment - and our ethos - is simple: happiness and harmony in the playgroup AND in the environment. For this reason, we have a minimum attendance requirement of two days per month but encourage owners to bring their dog to daycare at least one day each week.

We aim to foster a harmonious, low-arousal environment. Dog-friendly essential oils fill our facility with an earthy fragrance and relaxing down-tempo/chill music emanates throughout the centre, creating a relaxing, calm environment so our doggo's feel at ease.

If we make a mistake or can't live up to your expectations, we'll fess up and try to do better, no matter what it takes. Our friendly team is here to answer any questions you may have and assist you in anything dog-related!
DEDICATED NAP TIME

With all this mental stimulation and physical exercise, it’s easy to feel tired even when you’re having fun! However dogs cannot run and play non-stop all day. Stress or behaviour problems can arise from overtiredness and overstimulation. The health and wellness of your dog is of utmost importance. Our daily routine includes downtime and play-free periods. During these designated times, we cease to throw balls and instead offer pats and cuddles to encourage dogs to slow down and relax. Doggo's can choose a bed, and enjoy some R&R. We switch to classical music or pop on a midday movie, dim the lights and release calming, pet-safe aromatherapy oils. It works! Our doggos will be in a better mood, and go home with nothing but good vibes. Yay!
HELP WITH ANXIETY
Covid pups, we see you.
One in every four dogs suffers from separation anxiety - the struggle is real. Without some kind of outlet and social environment, a dog (and its owner) can feel quite anxious when left alone. Our daycare offers a secure place while you are away, giving you peace of mind.
As an added bonus, daycare can help your doggo with confidence building!

At Urban Doggo, we're conscious of our environmental impact. We know that every decision we make can, and does, make a difference - from the cleaning products we use to the retail products we stock. That’s why we opt to use environmentally friendly cleaning products, and stock eco-friendly, natural products wherever possible. As animal lovers, not only do we want to offer, and stock, the highest quality food and treats for our doggo's, but also to ensure it's ethically sourced from humane farms that treat animals with respect.
